C.M. has been in the U.S. since 12 years old from Jamaica. He has spent decades pursuing a passion for photography and uses it as a tool to strengthen his community. Throughout his youth, he was convicted of two separate misdemeanor marijuana possession convictions. This made him deportable without any chance to stay unless he could miraculously get one conviction to disappear. STERN Law demonstrated that he would have never entered a guilty plea if he knew it would make him deportable, and that his lawyer gave him the wrong advice. Because we won our post-conviction relief motion, C.M. no longer has this deportable conviction! C.M. now has the chance to step out of the shadows and become a Lawful Permanent Resident with the help of his beautiful U.S. citizen wife. Congratulations!
