There has been a lot of focus lately on the police and police-citizen interaction. Our country’s current dialogue involves the concern that law enforcement now operates under a paramilitary culture, employing tactics that reach well-beyond the scope of their duties and authority, and commonly violate our Constitutional Rights.

The flip-side to the discussion is the belief that we must comply with all requests and orders of law enforcement, and that the police won’t mess with you unless you’re doing something wrong in the first place.
